Fistral Beach is renowned for its surfing. Being close to the town of Newquay it is immensely popular. Flanked by the Headland Hotel in the east and Pentire in the west, it is has a deep, gently sloped beach at low tide with pale, golden sand.

What is this beach like?
This beach is popular for the quality of its surf and attracts visitors all year, getting very busy in the summer months. Being a gently sloped beach, the waves break for a long way and become shallow, ideal for paddling and young children. It is seasonaly lifegurded.
Amenties and access
There is a car park very close to the beach which is ANPR monitered. There are other car parks in the town and some street parking nearby.
There are a number of eateries near the beach including Rick Stein's fish and chip restaurant. There are toilets and outdoor showers close to the beach. The town of Newquay is a short distance away and offers a wide variety of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. It also offers good night life.
Access to the beach is via a gently sloped pathway near the cafes with dry, deep sand at the entrance.. There are steps at the Pentire end that are cut off at high tide.
