Is it really called Frogpool? A rural idyll!

With this walk, our aim was to avoid traffic jams, crowds and find some peace and tranquility on August Bank Holiday. Full of beautiful Cornish cottages, this walk is a delight for those seeking the real Cornwall, more gritty, less Disney!  


We park in Gwennap, walk across fields to Frogpool - is it really called Frogpool? - on to Cusgarne returning via country lanes that have moss in the middle!  


We discovered a real treat - an organic farm with shop and cafe. Find out what we thought about the food.   

Our favourite bit of the walk is...

...escaping the crowds on an August bank holiday, discovering the real, charming Cornwall and exploring a methodist chapel.
