Tea Shop Walks

Who doesn't love a tea shop break on a walk? Whether for coffee and cake or a Cornish Cream Tea, it is one of the simple pleasures in life. On this page there is a small selection of walks with tea stops.

Boscastle

Set above the beautiful village of Boscastle, and with a stunning view of the coast, is Boscastle Farm Shop and cafe. This award winning cafe offers light lunches, pasties, cakes and Cornish cream teas.

Falmouth

Princess Pavillions in Falmouth has a sea view and is a great venue for coffee and cake, or a light lunch. With seating inside and outside in the elegant gardens, complete with a Victorian bandstand, this is the perfect setting to relax and recharge!

Mevagissey

A stay in Mevagissey would not be complete without a proper Cornish Cream Tea with home made scones and a timer for the perfect brew. Complete with a doggy friendly version, you will not be disappointed at the Teacup Tearoom.

Port Isaac

Whatever the weather, there is nothing like a welcoming cafe with the aroma of fresh coffee wafting out of the door. Try the Chapel Cafe for a light lunch or coffee and cake. It is one of our favourites!

Calstock

A simple train ride from Plymouth, will take you to the picturesque village of Calstock with a quirky tea and coffee shop, Lishe Coffee Shop. Wonderful coffee and cake! GF available

Greenway

On the banks of the River Dart in Devon, we enjoyed a fabulous walk around Agatha Christie's home and gardens, Greenway. Filled with an ecleptic mix of her treasures, you can imagine the author herself sitting in the drawing room. Run by the National Trust, it has a cafe offering light lunches and a superb cream tea.

Penzance

The chique Zennor Wild in Causeway Head is gaining a following in the town for it's urban look and smooth coffee. With an industrial finish, softened by planting, it is the place to be!

Portreath

A circular walk along the north Cornish Coast near Portreath revealed a wonderful tea shop, Tehidy Woods Cafe. After exploring the stunning Cornish Coast and Tehidy Country Park, this is the perfect destination for a pitstop.

GF available

Coverack

At the end of this walk we discovered a fabulous Cornish cream tea at the Bay Hotel in Coverack. Sitting on the elegant lawned terrace, we enjoyed the view as much as the cream tea! GF Cream tea available

Hayle

Enjoy a coastal walk to Godrevy lighthouse with stunning views along the way. The footpath is wide and flat and you may encounter a wild pony! At Mutton Cove there is a chance to watch grey seals - wildlife in action! At Hell's Mouth Cafe treat yourself to a wonderful piece of cake or indulge in lunch. Limited GF choice.

Polperro

In the picturesque village of Polperro, there is a cafe called 'The House on the Props', so called because the upper storey is supported by wooden props as it extends over the river. The cafe offers a great breakfast, an ideal way to start a walk!

Truro

In the middle of the busy city, take some time to relax in the Hall for Cornwall cafe. The building is magnificent and worthy of a moment's contemplation before more retail therapy!
