Boscastle
Boscastle is a town of two parts. The old town is at the top of the hill and the harbour is deep in the valley. Most visitors pass by the old town and head for the harbour where there is a selection of shops, eateries and several outstanding walks.

Eating Out
Boscastle has a number of places to eat from a tea shop, Hotel, pub and nearby farm shop, all offering excellent light lunches. There is also a bakery selling pasties.
Beaches
Although Boscastle does not have a beach, the gentle River Valency runs through the valley and, at points, it is possible to paddle. There is a rocky cove at Crackington Haven nearby where it is possible to swim, surf and paddle.
Things to Do
There are a small number of shops in the harbour area. Cream teas and pasties are available. The Museum of Witchcraft is a visitor attraction. The allure of Boscastle is the stunning scenery and coast path.
Our Perfect Day...
... would start with a meal at the local farm shop, and short walk to the waterfall nearby, followed by a stroll around the harbour to find the golden lady.
