Newquay

Newquay is Cornwall's surfing capital. Fistral Beach is one of the best surfing beaches in Cornwall. Flanked by the Headland Hotel at one end and East Pentire, the cove offers the perfect place for beginners or more exprienced surfers.

From fine dining at the Headland Hotel to fish and chips by the harbour, Newquay has something for everyone. The town has several chain restaurants which will be more familiar to the visitor as well as loads of independent cafes.

Beaches

There are several beaches in Newquay. Fistral is famous for its surfing with the Atlantic Ocean delivering perfect waves. Towan, or Town Beach is in the heart of Newquay sheltered by the headland, leading to Tolcarne Beach and Lusty Glaze.

Things to Do

The obvious choice in Newquay is surfing and the night life is good. The South West Coast path passes through the town and will lead you to Watergate Bay to the north and Crantock in the south. The views are spectacular. Newquay has a zoo, cinema and a golf course.

Our Perfect Day...

...would start at Fistral Beach and have a coffee in Headland Hotel followed by a walk around the headland towards the harbour and the many beaches beyond. Finishing with fish and chips near the harbour.
