
St Mawes
St Mawes is on the south coast of Cornwall at the entrance to the River Fal, Sitting opposite Falmouth, it enjoys a sheltered, sunny position. The village has many multi-million pound homes and is considered one of the poshest places in Cornwall.

St Mawes has three top hotels offering fine dining as well as a few cafes and bakery. There is a pop up ice cream stall on the quay.

St Mawes is very sheltered with a number of small pebbly beaches ideal for swimming and searching for sea glass.
Things to Do
St Mawes has a foot ferry service to Place and Falmouth.
It has a Tudor castle that is open to the public.
The South West Coast Path passes through St Mawes heading towards Portscatho. There is also a riverside walk to St Just-In-Roseland church, famed for its spectacular graveyard.
Our Perfect Day...
...would be to arrive on the ferry from Falmouth and enjoy a cup of coffee in the St Mawes Hotel followed by a stroll up to the castle and follow the creekside path before returning for a fabulous meal in Tresanton owned by the Hotel Inspector, Alex Polizzi.
